Illinois Vs. Wake

Post by hopefulsplitter1 » Sat Jan 08, 2011 1:57 am

They will probably cost the same because i received 25k/year from illinois and judging from lsn ill probably get 20k/year to Wake, which makes them within 1 or 2 k of each other. I would like to go to school in the south but I would also like to work in a big city/firm upon graduation and illinois has the chicago market. Basically, what im asking is how difficult will it be to find a big firm/city job with a wake degree.

Wake = Charlotte, Raleigh, cola, charleston, or Knoxville... Really regional. If you wanna stay south take wake

Well, i understand wake is regional but do those markets offer opportunities for jobs that pay over 100k?

UIUC is regional, too.

If you get awesome grades and have ties, biglaw is a possibility, but at like a 6% difference between them, I don't think it's really anything to decide by. Also it's not a great shot in general.

Just pick a region you want to be in, and you're done.

Pretty much every market has jobs that pay over 100k; problem is finding and obtaining one.
