Yet I'm sure we'll get 3 or 4 new provisionally-accredited shitschools within the next 5 years.

I like how the CNBC article ends on a positive note of some Rutgers chick getting a job.

I've already started to draft a letter I'm planning on sending to the University of Delaware administration about how theyre basically just stealing from anyone who attends. If Binghamton decides to also Ill send one there as well.ClayDavis wrote:Yet I'm sure we'll get 3 or 4 new provisionally-accredited shitschools within the next 5 years.

I just figured it might do more good than trying to get a school already in operation to close haha.. It's more for self satisfaction than anything.. and of course my hopes for a response e-mail to post hereNightrunner wrote:I suppose you could say the same thing about most places. The administration is basically stealing from the below-median students at 90% of our law schools.BlueDiamond wrote:I've already started to draft a letter I'm planning on sending to the University of Delaware administration about how theyre basically just stealing from anyone who attends. the ABA should take some pointers from the AMA.

This was way too long in coming. The UK's Law Society published a warning of its own volition on this topic years ago. The ABA only did this after years of pressure and the embarrassment of new law schools opening while most young lawyers remain unemployed.

Re: ABA actually warns against law school
sadly true.. most people I'm in undergrad with right now just want to get an LSAT high enough to go to the local state law school which is a Tier 3.. nothing wrong with it, except that many don't know that they will come out jobless or with a job that pays poorly

Going to T-17 is probably still justified though.

Of course titcr. Far too little, far too late. If the ABA could shut down 150 law schools, or even 50, this would mean something. As is, the effect will be almost zero.TheBigMediocre wrote:

I'm a 1L at a t-25 and I'm seriously considering cutting my losses now and doing something else.

That would depend on where in the T-17 we are talking. Top half I would say yes, bottom half would require a good scholly.bk187 wrote:At sticker?Ragged wrote:Going to T-17 is probably still justified though.
I just don't see going to one of the the top 10% of all institutions in any profession being such a bad idea.

I generally agree with this sentiment. It pretty much takes a full tuition (or close to it) scholarship anywhere else to be a reasonable financial decision.Nightrunner wrote:I wouldn't pay sticker for anything but YHS, personally.

Currently unknown except for booking one midterm (that counted for half of the semester grade). If I'm not top 10%-20% at the end of the year, I'll leave.ClayDavis wrote:Grades?TheBigMediocre wrote:I'm a 1L at a t-25 and I'm seriously considering cutting my losses now and doing something else.

Sadly, it is definitely possible to be a bad idea for law school.Ragged wrote:I just don't see going to one of the the top 10% of all institutions in any profession being such a bad idea.

Going to CCN with a small/no scholarship is not reasonable? Please...bk187 wrote:I generally agree with this sentiment.
