Could we expect Cornell to be doing surprisingly well in ITE? Traditionally feeds heavily into the NYC market... well respected there (tho its not CLS or NYU)... Its kind of hard to gather anything from their OCI thread but I've heard that some below median people are getting NYC BigLaw.

The fact that some below median people at Cornell got big law doesn't tell us much. Like at UVA, I'm sure plenty of people in the top half (and even in the top third) struck out. I doubt job prospects for a Cornell student differ substantially from those of a UVA student.
