My entire extended fam and my parents are from all over Michigan, but then my parents moved to the sun, so I'm from Florida. I've spent a lot of time in MI though...
Edit: PS I'm a girl, despite my picture and possibly my lingo

Re: how many schools did you apply to?
This may sound crazy but I'd honestly be happy at nearly all of the schools to which I applied. For the lowest ranked, it's all about location. I'd obviously be happy with the highest ranked ones regardless of location (to a certain extent).northwood wrote:of those that you applied, how many schools are you seriously considering going to?
Is it normal to seriously consider nearly 17 schools? I guess I have ties to quite a few different areas of the country and interest in others.

Re: how many schools did you apply to?
there are only 5 schools that it would take a nice offfer for me to go in order to take them seriously. Those schools are either in large cities ( with high COL) or far distances away. If money wasnt an issue, id go to them all, but unfortunatly it is something I have to take into consideration.

I would go to any of the 14 schools I applied to, though I probably prefer about half of them over the others.krad wrote:This may sound crazy but I'd honestly be happy at nearly all of the schools to which I applied. Ditto. I'd prefer my dream/reaches over all of them but would be content at any of them I think...JenDarby wrote:I would go to any of the 14 schools I applied to, though I probably prefer about half of them over the others.krad wrote:This may sound crazy but I'd honestly be happy at nearly all of the schools to which I applied. 25/3
Fee Waiver Explanation: I wanted an early "edge," and applied to most of the schools on my list before getting my score back.
# of Schools Explanation: My PT average was 5 points below my LSAT score, so I applied to a lot of schools which turned out to be superfluous super safeties.

Nicely done!
Also, I'm curious - did you happen to get any fee waiver/refunds after applying? I've heard of some schools offering this if you're picked for a CRS waiver after you have already applied.

Re: how many schools did you apply to?
6 schools, 6 waivers. All apps in by 11/3 or 11/15.
5 of the apps were just for fun to see if I could get in, though, since I know where I'm going. I'm expecting 4 accepts and (unless an adcomm takes some funny drugs on the day they read my app) one reject. 6th school could easily go either way.

Alas, no. But even in retrospect, I know it's better to overapply than underapply.Dex wrote:HeavenWood wrote:25/3

Re: how many schools did you apply to?
18/9 (plus W&L, who has no app fee)
I'd consider, at this point, going to all but one of those. Before I heard back anywhere I got super paranoid and applied to one random T3 that gave me a fee wavier in my second application-sending frenzy because I was so paranoid that I wouldn't get in anywhere else. But now that I'm in a T1 with $$ I'm seriously considering just withdrawing that app.

Aww TT revived a month later
I guess I should edit my total: 21 apps/9 waivers. I just couldn't stop myself... and I want options.

15/15. Had to e-mail a few schools to get fee-waivers, but it was well worth it. I'm not exactly sold on the prospects of attending law school, so I wanted to cast a wide net.

22+/ 7 and counting (URM)
Have the LSAC waiver, so the fee waivers didn't make too much of a difference. I'll apply to more depending on this Dec. score.
