Need to pick a safety

Post by knotoftoads » Wed Nov 17, 2010 12:17 pm

So, I already applied to my reaches and targets. Cornell, Berkeley, BC, BU
I need a safety. I love the Boston area but I'm not super attracted to Northeastern and definitely not Suffolk. I applied last year to Suffolk and got zero scholarship money even though I was points above their medians. Any ideas on safeties? I was thinking maybe UConn?
My stats... 3.92/161/165
thanks!!

If there is no local school you would want to attend, don't apply to a safety. Law school will always be there.

? I never said there was no local school I would want to attend. I only stated that I would definitely not want to attend Suffolk. I was simply inquiring for suggestions of safeties in Northeast area. Sorry if I wasn't clear.

UConn is a good choice, one of my picks for safeties.

I think you have a decent shot at Fordham as a target/reach. Also Cardozo could be a good safety.

Yes, I thought about this but I just hate the fact that its binding. I really really want to be in the northeast (or California, I suppose). I know UVA is T14 so that shouldn't matter, but location does matter to me.

If you want to work in the Northeast UVA (for some reason) has awesome New England reach, I would argue more so that a lot of other T14s. Otherwise, if not NYC but Northeast, I would settle for nothing lower than BC/BU.
