science major for IP law Forum

i am a biology major and am interested in IP law. I have chosen a top IP law school for this purpose. However, i fear that IP firms are not looking simply for bio majors but for those with masters in the sciences. Is this true? Can i do anything relatively simple now?

If you want to do patent law, EE majors and PhDs in biology are in top demand. Not sure if you can go far with just a BS in biology.

Sorry to say, inventions in the biology world are far more complex than someone with an undergrad education in Bio could understand well enough to prosecute patents for or litigate. A Ph. D or an accelerated masters in BME might help you land a prosecution job if you really want one.

If by "top IP law school" you mean stanford, boalt or columbia you may be OK, but otherwise this is not a safe path. I have no idea what you mean by "Can I do anything relatively simple now?"

I know a girl who got biglaw IP work and only had a BS in biology.
