but yeah a 163 should be retaken.
maybe for you, but not for me. :(
you're right, you're actually obviously too retarded to do better next time. enjoy dla piper being the most overqualified receptionist South Bend Elementary ever had.

I don't understand the uncalled for cut down. I work for a group of lawyers, some who graduated from GW, some who graduated from UF, and some from Stetson, all doing equally well (which is very well).

Assumptions in this statement -

1) Past performance indicates future performance
2) This small sample is representative

The sample I was using (small as it may be) still proves that someone who goes to a school that accepts 163 LSAT scores does not mean they will be working at an elementary school.

If you have the funds to do so, apply to every school you'd even pause to think about.

Remember there are a lot of people who have to narrow their budget and limit themselves. If that doesn't describe you, apply early and often so you can prepare for the unforeseen (ie rejections at every "consider").

The vitriol in here is amusing.

Darby,

I have a budget--so I am keeping an eye on my apps with my budget in mind. Keep the bottom line in focus (for example, 13 schools is over 800 bucks). How much are you willing to spend to get rejected? That's how I sort out if I really want to apply for that reach or not.

And you don't have to retake if you don't want. You're on TLS, so folks here get upset if they aren't around 170. If you're happy with 163, run with it.

Go back through the post history. From a glance, it appears some explosion happened in the Barry vs Southwestern thread, including some nasty PMs.

You have applied to too many schools once you have applications to schools you would not actually go to and/or have no chance of getting into.

I only applied to schools I actually would attend if accepted. I also removed any schools from my list that I considered to be a waste of money (my numbers were below both 25%).

applicants should also apply to all their target schools' peers.

Good point. In my case, all of the schools I applied to were peers, so I didn't think of that.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
