I think it's hilarious that this is still Illinois' mascott (or symbol or whatever it is)...I remember last year they retired the Illinois/Northwestern rivalry hammer (edit: A rivalry that shouldn't be bc we both suck), called the "Sweet Sioux Tomahawk", in favor of the politically correct but wayyyy lamer "Land of Lincoln" trophy...man that name got more boring and way easier to spell.

Given your flexibility with pretty much everything else, this pretty much just comes down to how debt-averse you are. I tend to be much less debt-averse than most, so I voted UIUC, but YMMV. Also, I'm not sure how much you're considering JAG or any other PI work among the varied things you'd consider, but if a lot of those things are IBR-eligible, you have the IBR safety-net to fall back on if you go the better-school-greater-debt route.

C-K is a good school. They lack the prestige element that Illinois possesses, but are you will willing to pay 33k/yr for a bit of prestige? If so, I'd +1 the retake - better school or $$ from UIUC.
