Want to graduate from an LA law school...
I graduated from USC recently with solid grades and a solid LSAT score. I chose Southwestern Law School because of its location and history, as I would like to practice in Los Angeles.
However, I am thinking about transferring to Gould in the coming months. But I have reservations about it. Does it help my future job prospects to attend USC's Gould School of Law even though I already attended that school as an undergraduate? Theoretically, wouldn't my undergraduate tenure at 'SC function as leverage during an interview with someone looking for a USC graduate? Or do these prestigious firms look for graduates from USC's LAW school, not just someone who attended as an undergraduate but graduated from a different law school?
Thanks for your help kind people.

Eager to help by posting first?! I LOVE the dedication, friend-o. You sir are too good.
I don't really want to transfer, but I'm starting to get apprehensive about attending an expensive school that isn't as highly ranked as other equally-expensive schools in the Los Angeles area. I really do love the Mid-Wilshire area and I enjoy the atmosphere around Southwestern, but I have to cover all my bases.
The answers I get here will go a long way towards making my decision. My grades are too good for me to sit idly and not think about alternatives.
Aaaaaaand I *just* noticed your icon. I'm not knocking our school, buddy. Just covering the bases, as I said!

Click on my profile. We can talk about it at school tomorrow.
Just focus on your exams for now. You don't have to make this decision now.

Well, SW is your cheapest option, by far. You're in line for a fat scholarship so long as you don't fuck up on finals. And in that case transferring won't be an option.

You're wrong. Any mod can check this. Also, I went to Wesleyan University in Connecticut, not USC.

He is already in Southwestern and is asking if he should transfer. IMO, if you can, do it before its too late.

TLS 0Ls are not going to be able to give you meaningful advice.
Do you already have a strong resume? What are you doing this summer? What was your GPA first semester? What do you want to do when you graduate? FYI 3.58 was the top ten percent cutoff (I know this for a fact).
