WUSTL $$$ v. UIUC $$$$
I haven't gotten word from Washington yet on whether they'll match my full ride at UIUC, but I've been led to believe that I can probably expect around 75% tuition, so in the neighborhood of $30-33k a year. I have about $20k in debt from my undergraduate career, so if I take out $10-15k a year to go to UIUC, I'll end up with $50-$65k, whereas Washington is going to leave me with more in the neighborhood of $80-90k. I like St. Louis more than Champaign-Urbana (like, a lot more--I wouldn't mind living in St. Louis in the long term), but I am also interested in study abroad, and I like UIUC's options more. I also think it's pretty sweet that UIUC has a climbing wall in their rec center (which shouldn't matter, but it does a little bit). I'm not married to Big Law or anything like that, but I would like to keep my options open. I'm pretty averse to debt. I don't know. I'm rambling. Tell me what you think.

I'd take UIUC, but you wouldn't be crazy to take WUSTL. CU isn't that bad for student life.

I like Wustl more, but a free ride is hard to turn down.
