Would value your input: Tulane sticker vs. Temple instate
Would really value any and all input guys.
Despite low-tuition at Temple, I really want to move from Philly and wouldn't be thrilled about 3+ years here.
Tulane's international law division seems way more extensive and they have a ton more resources, plus all of the additional life experiences that would come with it.
I'm open as to where and what I want to do following graduation, with ideal plan of practicing internationally or in Cali or Miami. Don't need to be a millionaire (right away) just live relatively comfortably.
Thanks!

If you do not want to live in Philly, then don't live in Philly.

it bugs me when people bump their own thread.
Damn by saying this I'm bumping your thread. Oh well. Go to tulane. If you're not excited about 3 years there I doubt you would be excited about 25+ years there.

I bet he'll be even less excited about paying back 150k in loans. I'd go for Temple. Tulane at sticker is stupid.waverider wrote:Go to tulane. If you're not excited about 3 years there I doubt you would be excited about 25+ years there.

Can you afford Tulane at sticker?
Cost of attendance is over $60k. Plus when I got my financial aid package, it said tuition alone was $42k...yikes. Not sure if it's worth the investment, to be honest with you, but if you can afford it and really want to go there, who's to say you shouldn't?

for god's sake don't pay sticker for a school based on "international law"...you will be sorely disappointed with your results
I think Tulane only makes sense for you if you want to do public interest

By the way, have you tried negotiating a scholarship from Tulane? I didn't receive anything, so I sent the dean of admissions a letter asking for reconsideration. She offered me $7,500 a year. That didn't end up being enough to convince me to attend, but I mean, every little bit helps.

If you don't want to live in Philly, then I dunno if you want to go to Temple. My impression was that it's a great springboard to practice in the Philly metro area, but outside of there you have to be a lot more resourceful to find work. If you want to pay an extra $20k/yr and go down south to live and practice, it's up to you. NO sounds alot more rough than Philly though, and I have no idea how the economy is down there.

I was going to give this a serious answer. But after this last part ... I don't know.stalls wrote:I'm open as to where and what I want to do following graduation, with ideal plan of practicing internationally or in Cali or Miami. But if this is serious, then Tulane would be the better choice as long as you can swing the money.
