decision help among T10 please!

Post by jamielsa » Tue Mar 30, 2010 6:07 pm

I am paying for everything with student loans, and I'm not sure I want to be $200k in debt when I graduate. Not sure I'm interested in a huge law firm and working 12hrs/day. Interested in IP, especially biotech IP. I have no idea where to start. Help!

great choices. i voted for northwestern. your job opportunities will be pretty similar coming out of all of those schools, and you're getting great funding from nw. you can find decent ip classes at all the schools you're considering, i think.

I voted for Northwestern. I don't think the CCN bump is worth the $100,000+ difference, unless you have very specific career goals (COA clerkship, NYC Biglaw) and don't care as much about debt.

i would probably pay a little extra for michigan in your shoes. that is still a decent bite out of your debt, lower COL and tuition taken into account, that is a pretty good deal.
