I just visited BU today. Let me summarize it for you. GO TO BU.

I was impressed with everything. I actually had an extended conversation with a student from San Fran who was between BU and Hastings in the monring, and at the end of the day, I believe her words were "wow...fuck hastings."

When you consider the difference in $$$ you are still probably looking at 100k debt for either. Would you rather have 150K debt possibly at BU where you stand a chance of making 6 figures...or would you rather have 100k at hastings where all bets are off?

There is more to consider. Are you living at home rent free? If so than that is about 10-15k in savings per year for 30-45k for three years! I'm not saying go to hastings for sure, just make sure your cost analysis is all-inclusive. Also, you may want to consider where you want to practice law as either choice will probably limit you options to certain geographical areas (Hastings even more than BU). Finally, have you tried to negotiate any aid from BU? You might be able to get something from them with a thoughtful and respectful letter explaining to them your dilemma.

To be honest Hastings may be cheaper, but BU is a dam good school.

I don't know much about law schools yet, I'm still looking at schools myself, but I did have a good friend go to Hastings. It was bad experience after bad experience for him... If you want to know more about it feel free to PM me. I don't know anything about BU, though.

Figure out where you want to live, east or west coast. That's what this choice boils down to.

Hasitngs would trump in the bay area and even LA. BU would trump on the east coast.
