Boston vs. Uf
No real geographic preference.. I was offered 6K per year at Uf contingent on maintaining a 3.2 gpa which is median. Boston university offered me 15K per year just need to remain in good standing.. BU is the better choice right? Oh i am out of state for florida

UF's tax program prowess is in the LLM program. BU is TCR.rando wrote:unless you want to do taxdp73816 wrote:Boston...just do it.

While this is true, from what I understand (two friends that go to UF) tax firms are present at their 2L OCI which I am unaware of for any other school. My impression was tax-specific firms generally only hire people with experience, with the exception of UF.mistergoft wrote:UF's tax program prowess is in the LLM program. Didn't know that. well, if the two are equal in even this small niche that I figured UF had a leg up on, then easy choice.Blindmelon wrote:BU also has a really strong tax program.

BUs tax program is ranked 6th; not too shabby.

I don't think this is true, though I admit I do not know. Our OCI went horribly this year, regardless.

If you don't care about the geographic area, or the culture, go to Boston, better scholarshp money. I'd just hate to live in Boston but good luck.

No idea. Just know what I was told. And given the OCI onslaught taking place at most schools I would not be surprised UF kids cling to the one thing the school is known for. And run with it...
