Tennessee versus tier 4's, but closer to where I wanna work

Post by Stryka » Mon Mar 22, 2010 4:44 pm

I got waitlisted at UTK, but still am waiting on responses from all the Texas schools that I applied to. Now I most likely will be in Texas Wesleyan and St. Marys, but those two are tier 4, but are located much closer to where I live and want to practice in Dallas, TX as well as in-state prices...Even though UTk is ranked 59, would it be better to go to Texas Wes instead of UTK?

Going to a school in TX would be better if that's where you want to practice.

St. Mary's and Wesleyan are both private, so I'm not sure what you mean by "in-state prices."

If you get large scholarships to St. Mary's or Wesleyan, those would be better than UTK. If not, I'm not sure.

What about Texas Tech for $14K/year (or less with a scholarship)?
