Another WUSTL (25K) vs BU (15K)

Post by Xiaolong » Sat Mar 20, 2010 10:58 pm

I narrowed it down to the two schools. I am pretty much set on wanting to practice in Boston with ambitions at international practice. BU seems to be the better choice for that. I am figuring WUSTL will cost me around 95K total while BU will probably be around 130K total. So is BU worth another 35K for the added job security and strong presence in the market I want to practice in?

If you want to practice in Boston, go to Boston. I can't really think of any argument for WUSTL.

Getting to Boston with a WUSTL JD will be pretty damn difficult. That should answer your question.

Outside of ITE, not really, unless you have no connection to Boston.

True, but are we still ITE when OCI 2011 comes around.

On a side note, does anyone think that the old NLJ 250 chart for the C/o 2005 is somehow an approximation of what hiring might look like in the next two years or so? My thinking is that these people did OCI in 03, at the end of the economic mess created by the dot.com bubble.

If your family also lives in Boston, and, if you're not-married, then maybe you could crash at your parents' place during law school in order to reconcile COL.

That's funny, considering that Wustl has an interview program set up in Boston where all the major firms go to interview students from there.
