Indiana U-Indianapolis sticker or Quinnipiac 25k/yr

Postby Dr. Review » Fri Mar 12, 2010 12:53 am

As of right now, I am waiting on scholarship info from IUPUI (Indiana U-Indianapolis), but honestly expect that they'll want me to pay sticker.

I realize that Quinnipiac is third tier, and that their job prospects are mostly in CT, but I also know that IUPUI is a regional school as well. I'm OOS at IUPUI, so that would mean I'd be looking at 40k/yr + the relatively low COL, and QU with the $$ would be 15k/yr with a higher COL.

As for now, those are the only 2 schools that have admitted me (waitlisted at Penn State and DePaul so far, waiting on several more schools), and I am visiting them both in the next week or so.

Any thoughts?

Random choice. Where do you want to live? Is there a T3 school in that area that will take you?

120k +COL is a huge investment and risk for a T2

Still not 100% it's sticker, scholarship info is still pending, I believe.

O, missed that gotcha. what are your numbers? if you could at least get 10k/year at IU Indy that might make it a little better. But their scholarships usually come with major stips. So just be careful

159/3.31 with 2 yrs WE. Still waiting to hear back from a few schools, but considering how late in the cycle, and the fact that I have been waitlisted at a couple of schools I thought I had a good shot at, not sure what to think.

I got in already, just hoping for $$, though I hear the stipulation is normally top 25%, which I don't like.

Still waiting on Chicago-Kent and Pitt, and a couple others

I might add that at QU, all I need to do to keep it is top 50%.
