I really like the philly area and got scholarships there, but maryland is ranked higher. What would you do? Thanks!

Temple owns the Philadelphia market (should probably be a low ranked T1 IMO with a market that size). Maryland and Nova don't own anything. Plus, you could try and get Temple's ridiculously cheap in-state tuition for 2L and 3L (even their out-of-state is better than Nova's cost. No?

Not to bump unnecessarily, but Temple and Villanova are essentially peer schools. Villanova is all of 15-20 minutes from the city, and it's ridiculous to think that Villanova grads are shut out to the degree people think they are.

From talking to attorneys, judges, and the like, not TLS 0Ls, I have found that if your looking to be in Philly either school you will be good to go as long as you have the grades. There may be a slight advantage to temple but nova also has a better name outside of tristate area. It comes down which school YOU feel more comfortable at.

Following up, meetings with my UG's pre-legal advisor (who used to be a practicing attorney) confirms this. He went to Temple, and actually suggested Villanova if I had any intention of being portable outside the general radius of Philadelphia. I may be a 0L, but I do base my comments on information not found within the collapsing star of TLS.
