Depends on whether you would qualify for need-based aid at HLS. It goes up to 30k/yr and I've heard that 15-20k/yr is not uncommon.

this may be a shallow factor, but where did you go for UG (or at least what was its approximate prestige)? having an "ivy level" brand on your resume can help future pursuits in business as well as law if you think you might want to try alternative career paths at some point in life.

This is true. I, in part, rationalize my decision to attend HLS and forsake full-rides because I believe the extra prestige and options afforded will, over a 30-year career, outweigh the loss of $100k or so. If I can enter a slightly higher career trajectory that will make all the difference for me.

But for the OP.. I'd say Harvard or full tuition at Michigan- depending on
a.) How much debt you don't mind being in
b.) Your desire to go to Harvard Law School
