Even Fordham blows University of Michigan out of the water in NYC.
Go to Cornell.
Go to Cornell.

You sure did say that Cornell places better in NYC. Then, of course, you posted a link to an outdated NLJ250 chart. I posted a link to the newest one. Finally, let's note that, on your new chart, Fordham also outplaces Harvard, Stanford, and Yale.NY88 wrote:http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 23&t=93259

That is why you have to take rankings with a grain of salt.
Both are great schools, but in NYC Cornell is stronger.

This is the problem I'm having. Thank you for your advice you are one of the very few who says Cornell and the first ever since this thread started to tell me why!NY88 wrote:That is why you have to take rankings with a grain of salt.

Go with where you're more comfortable. These are peers in most respects. Visit both.
EDIT: I'm at Cornell and for me the decision was largely about environment and where I felt I'd be happier. I'd be happy to field questions if you want. Feel free to PM.

Exactly.
What you want to know is if you're a given student, which school gives you the better chance of getting the job. That's why you want to take into account all NLJ 250 hiring AND clerkships.
Obviously even Yale would give you a better shot at NYC biglaw even if Fordham puts more people there.
