Here is the 2005 nlj chart: http://www.law.com/pdf/nlj/20080414empl ... trends.pdf

Here is the discussion of nlj+ fed clerkship stats (scroll down to see numbers on lower ranked schools): http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 1&t=108528

Looks like UNC has dropped 7-10% or so. Meanwhile, many other schools remained consistent. Wake even increased about 10%.

I really don't want to make too much of this but I thought UNC would place better than 16% into nlj +fed clerkships. Anyone have thoughts?

NLJ stats aren't really that indicative for a school which takes an insane amount of in-state students in a state that has extremely few NLJ250 firms. If you're going to UNC, you're probably looking for a good job in NC; hence, the NLJ numbers are low.

There still remains a 10% decline between the two charts while other schools that have large in-state pops (UGA) have remained consistent or increased.

This does have me a bit concerned. I am deciding between UNC and Wake at the same price. I lean towards UNC partly because of geographical location but career outcomes are very important.

I don't know what you are looking for.

If scholarships make Wake cheaper than UNC, choose Wake.
If scholarships make them the same price, it's a toss up.
If scholarships make UNC cheaper than Wake......personal preference?

Don't know why people refuse to believe it but THEY PLACE ALMOST THE SAME (especially in state). its all about your personal preference or $$$ at that point.
