SMU at sticker v Houston ($$$$)
Which is the better option, T50 SMU at sticker or T60 Houston with all tuition and fees waived?
I want to transfer to T14 after 1L. SMU may make this easier, but if I don't get accepted Houston may be the better long term option. Any thoughts?

Don't plan to transfer. It rarely works out. You can't realistically plan to be high enough in your class to guarantee a T14 transfer; there are too many variables.
That said, there is little difference between SMU and UH in terms of placement, except which city each places into. Follow the money. Neither is better enough than the other to justify massive debt. And UH is not going to make it any more difficult to transfer if the stars do indeed align.

+1
Considering SMU is slowly approaching 40k/year in tuition, I would pick UH hands down.
+1 on not planning to transfer to t14 --> remember that 90% of lawstudents think they will be in the top 10%.

There is nothing like free school, plus Houston isn't a bad place to live.
