Arizona vs. Arizona State
I've been a longtime reader of this board but have only just now decided to actually register. One of the questions that has been on my mind has been the difference between the two best Arizona law schools, U. of Arizona and Arizona State. I know that Rogers is more highly ranked, but the access of ASU to Phoenix seems to be hard to compete with. I do not live in the southwest, but I am assuming that the quality of life is similar at both schools (although I have been to Tucson once, and not very impressed). Other than that, what are the real differences between the schools?
Thanks in advance!

Girls at ASU are hotter, probably the only real difference.

I know that UA is ranked slightly higher, but I am not sure how much really matters since ASU offers more accessibility to Phoenix. Does UA travel better?

The girls at both schools are gorgeous.
If you want to practice in Phoenix, I don't think there will be any huge difference in career prospects. I think this is a decision that should be made based on location.
Answering above questions here: Yes, UofA technically places "better" outside of Arizona. But with the current economy, I think you'd be crazy to rely on either degree to give you much portability.

I must admit, being an undergrad at a Rustbelt Big10 institution makes the Arizona sun and female population pretty attractive, especially in February.

The best I can offer is this outdated c/o 2005 chart you might have already seen. http://www.law.com/pdf/nlj/20080414empl ... trends.pdf.It looks like UAZ did a little better for biglaw and clerkships.hausoian878 wrote:I know that UA is ranked slightly higher, but I am not sure how much really matters since ASU offers more accessibility to Phoenix. Seems for Phoenix the schools may be equal. For Tucson and a slightly better chance at SoCal, U of A. Clerkships too.
PS. Stringer Bell: I'm mid-way through the first season. I have so much to live for.

Excellent. The series is so incredible. I got my girlfriend on it recently and she's about halfway through season 5 and absolutely loves it.Close Diamond wrote:Seems for Phoenix the schools may be equal. For Tucson and a slightly better chance at SoCal, U of A. Clerkships too.

with every post I read, it seems like the two main reasons people choose ASU are for women and weather.

Only if you're not around for the summer. If so, then UA would be much preferable.msbeautifulbasham wrote:with every post I read, it seems like the two main reasons people choose ASU are for women and weather.

Re: Arizona vs. Arizona State
Phoenix is on average only 5 degrees hotter than Tucson during the day. And a huge % of the legal jobs in Arizona are going to be in Phoenix. If you couldn't ever stand a Phoenix summer, think long and hard about going to any law school in Arizona.Close Diamond wrote:Only if you're not around for the summer. It would be nice if current ASU or U of A students could respond to this. I'm wrestling over the same decision.

Let's play a game of "Guess how many dicks they have collectively sucked?" Seriously, while ASU hot all the hotties who couldn't get into UCLA, most of them are walking STD petri-dishes.darknightbegins wrote:For the winBruceBarr wrote:--ImageRemoved--

Recent employment data would be very useful, I think. I'm happy to dig it up for all but don't know where to look.JSUVA2012 wrote:What kind of information are you looking for?msbeautifulbasham wrote:It would be nice if current ASU or U of A students could respond to this.
