I'm a Tennessee resident and graduated with Poli-Sci degree in '08 from Memphis and this is my first choice but I know with my GPA it may be more than a stretch but I figured I'd see what somebody else thought. As far as softs go, I will have a letter of recommendation from a US Congressman (summer internship in DC), my current boss (not legal related job) and possibly a couple more practicing attorneys. I feel like I am a pretty decent writer so my PS should be better than average.
If I can't get into Memphis which makes the most fiscal sense I really want to do entertainment law and the only schools that offer a program in that and I have a remote chance in getting in are Thomas Jefferson and California Western. Any thoughts on my chances at those schools? Also, just in case its pertinent, my junior year in college I was caught with a fake ID trying to buy beer at a gas station and I was charged with a Class C Misdemeanor which was later expunged. Thanks in advance for any and all feedback. Also, not a URM.
