i just found an old thread from last year, but no official one for this cycle.

anyone else in the same boat? im desperate to get off this waitlist! i hope the law school gods are paying attention!

Me too. I've been trying to find waitlist numbers (how many on, how many accepted) and am not having any luck. LSN doesn't seem reliable enough to even guess from.

it seems like people from last year didnt get off the waitlist til well into august. yikes! is that typical? i dunno if im patient enough for that long of a wait but im definitely riding this one out for awhile. good news is that i think their waitlist tends to be on the shorter end in comparison to other law schools. however there are also fewer seats available =/

/wave I too am of the waitlist From my digging on LSN I can come across the following trends:

1) There is horrible data holes in almost all cycles. I have no way to tell how many people get in off the wait list or even a general average
2) there seems to be a spurt of acceptances in May, with very few in June followed by the majority Mid July.


Also in my opinion, this year's Davis cycle is going to be out of the norm as well. The major contributing factors are the delay in applications due to the system failure (I personally was "in evaluation" for 4.5 months); coupled with last year's rankings(Davis took a big hit last year). Now they have recovered in rankings but its way late in the cycle to really be effecting application numbers. All in all, I am optimistic but I am working like hell to get in

Any new word on the UC Davis waitlist? I heard they will be making some admissions offers either this week or next week. Anyone been accepted recently?

One of the professors at Davis (not the law school unfortunately) is a family friend, and she has a friend who teaches in the law school. Heard from her.

Where have you guys put money down (seat deposits) in case the waitlist doesn't pull through?

I put down a deposit at University of Cincinnati. Cool thing about them is you get most of it back if you notify them you aren't attending by May 15th. I'm still excited no matter where I go because Cincinnati is a pretty good fall back school, but I would rather stay in California if possible.

Still waiting for an initial decision.
