hmm,

looking at LSN, you have some chance, but it probably would have helped to push your LSAT score 1-2 pts higher. BC is one of those weird toss-up schools.

No mail for me today. I'm getting nervous. I was confident with my 164/3.78, but I'm not so sure these days...

Deferred :(

Damnit, I really thought I had a good chance and now my options in Boston appear to be dwindling unless I want Northeastern.

the truth is...this early in the game, most schools are looking to lockup candidates that will help their numbers. If you're at 50% or below, they don't get much benefit from admitting you early action...they know there's a good chance you'll attend...no matter when you're admitted.

anyway, the point is....i think you all still have pretty good chances!

I'm above 50% for both LSAT and GPA for BC. I hope you're right! :)

Plus, according to LSN, I actually have a better shot at BU than BC. I don't have a huge preference, although I do like BC better.

Ouch. I got rejected today (EA). I was expecting a deferral at worst. Oh well, it's hard to stay upset when Helen Antiori is reminding me how awesome W&M is every other day.

WTF, you got rejected fly? I'm absolutely shocked you didn't get deferred. Like 80% of the people with your numbers on LSN got in last year.

Check out this graph:

Geez, this doesn't bode well for my 165/3.6. I'm actually shocked I got deferred now.

my mom just read it to me over the phone, since i dont live at my perm. address.

out. :(

157/3.3 - based off the last few years i was hoping to be one of the few they let slide in. but i guess they are really trying to raise their number average.

sad because it actually was my top choice.

Kompressor - yeah, that graph is what made me confident that my numbers would get me in. I mean, I was at their median LSAT and above their 75% GPA. They must be raising their standards this year.

Yeah, but applications are down as a whole like 8%. They must be either getting a ton of extremely competetive applications or must be very confident that those with higher numbers will be attending. If they're only accepting 167's and above, they might have a class of 100. This seems like a real big risk.

Then again, they have a much better picture of what is going on than I do. It's just shocking to me. I believe your numbers were above Lmardin's, obviously no offense meant.

I bet they're trying to pass BU. Damn...looking at BC on LSN now.

They randomly accepted a 160/3.75 non-URM and outright rejected a 171/3.0, 166/3.36, and Fly.

They also accepted a 165/3.61...one-hundredth of a point above me lol.

I was deferred with a 170/ and around a 3.3...pretty surprised to be honest.

Does anyone happen to know what % of deferrals got into BC last year? It may be completely different this year, based on what we've seen, but did the deferral hurt/help/have no real effect on my chances?

Out 156/3.4/URM

Not surprising in the least. I should have applied to BU.
