hi everyone. i am new to this forum and would like to introduce myself. im in socal and have stopped working to get this last part of my life done. i have always loved having the idea of going to law school. i am probably the dumbest student ever and i am not very bright academically, but i will always try. i did try to take the classes for taking the lsat at kaplan. i did try to take the test already. my score was less to be desired. actually i dont even think anyone has even received lower points then i have on the first try. i have purchased books and practice test. i have yet to get them correct. i just dont have any clue how to do this. i dont want to give up on this dream of going to an accredited school. i dont even care if its not famous or high up there in the rankings. some of my problems is that i read very slow. i dont read any books or anything else. i am now trying to practice to read more, but at this point i feel that i need help with seeing the clues or the pattern each section is showing. maybe once i get that down i can do better. reading faster is just going to need some time but if the pattern is there i can at least get something down.

if there is anyone out there who can help this idiot out i would be very grateful.

thanks,
clueless student

Well stop thinking of yourself so negatively. If you keep telling yourself that you're not smart enough to make it into law school, or not smart enough to do well on the LSATs then you are already defeating yourself. First work on your confidence and start reading more books in general to speed up ur reading habits.

Also I have the Logic Games Bible and the Logic Reasoning Bible, which are great study tools. If you need them, just PM me.

thanks. i would love to see if i can check them out. i really feel i need to learn how to read properly. my reading skills are pobably below par.

since i knew i was below par i took a class at a local school to learn to read, read faster, upgrade my vocabulary, and find my weaknesses. basically i need to read more is what i found out. but for the test i am so screwed unless i find the key fast.

ill pm you. today.

First off I want to applaud your drive for self-improvement. Mixbabe is right. You need to stop talking badly about yourself. Confidence is as necessary for acing the LSAT as any tips that you can find in a prep book.

But I am a bit worried about your wording here. I hope you aren't looking for some hidden "trick" in the LSAT that will suddenly make it easier. Eventually you will start to see patterns of course, but that is after taking multiple practice tests. Use the search function to find LSAT study tips. There is a ton of info on this site.

thank you very much. i get a few pms saying this might not be something i want to do.

personally i dont give up no matter how badly i do on anything. i just feel i can do it in law school if i can just get my sorry asss in there. i think thats the only thing that has kept me from just failing school all together.

is going for about 160 to 165 too much?
