Ok, so Im not wanting to go to a top lawschool but not a crappy one either. My top choice is the University of New Mexico. Im a resident and besides the fact that I plan to practice in New Mexico it would be awesome to only pay 12k/yr in tuition. I know based on my numbers there is no reason I shouldnt get in; however, the 18% acceptance rate kinda freaks me out. Otherwise, I have good softs: rape survivor advocate, took a year off to work at an investment firm, published a resource guide for homeless ppl of Albuquerque, NM etc. My biggest worry is I was arrested for DWI in February. All charges were dismissed, and since I started writing MADD's monthly newsletter. So thats my app plus Im an URM, Mexican-American and have a good personal statement. What do you think? My other choices are below. Any other suggestions on where I should apply? 3.6/158

Denver
Lewis & Clark
Miami
Chapman
Pepperdine

I had originally wanted to apply at Notre Dame and George Washington but after I got my score I didn't think that was a possibility anymore, but perhaps I should reach a little higher. I thought Pepperdine might be a reach with a 158.

I definately will! I've just posted in other topics and it seems the consensus is I'm not aiming high enough. Thanks a lot!
