If this has been covered somewhere else then I apologize in advance. I've just not seen this question answered anywhere thus far.

How are part-time J.D's ranked in their class? For example, if I go to SMU and start their part-time program in August 10', will my rank be figured according to my group of part-time peers?...Or will it be figured in the entire group (full and part time) for the class of 2014?

I guess what I'm getting at is...what would my "class" be? My part-time peers or all students who will be graduating in 2014?

Any info on this would be appreciated. Thanks.

At Georgia State, we (PT students) are essentially ranked with the FT students that started a year later than we did. This is because we do not get a "ranking" (any of the 3 rankings performed after 1L, 2L, and graduation) until we cross the threshold of hours/classes that a regular full-time student would. For instance, at the end of your second normal year of PT, you are ranked with the FT students who started a year behind you, and you are only ranked on your "1L" classes, even though most students will have completed other courses as well. Thus it takes 2 years to get a real ranking in our PT program.

Depends on school, Loyola LA ranks PT among itself (someone correct me if I'm wrong) - so you only compete against each other.
