So i'm seriously considering writing a few letters to a few of the firms in my home town (it's a small town in Oklahoma, only about 30,000 people) to see if any of them are looking for help from a pre-1L student. Do you think they would even consider me for some type of work in the office? Is it worth a try or should i save my ink and paper?

Tony

what could it hurt?

Are you wanting a paid job, or just experience. I imagine if you're willing to work for free there will probably be a lot of interest.

Your right.. it won't hurt anything! I would accept whatever i could get. If it wasn't paid I would just have to get another job along side to make money. But i really just want the experience.

You know Eric Foy or Matt Harrison (really any of the Harrison brothers)?

Foy is a 3L at OU right now, so he would be a few years older.
I'm not sure when Nick Harrison graduated- it may have actually been after '03.
