Throughout college I've worked a couple of hours each week tutoring a couple of local high school kids in math. Clearly, it was cash based, and unrelated to law school.. I only did it for the money! Does this go on a law school application?

Of course. It can't come back to haunt you. And if it did somehow make it's way to the IRS (it won't), say you did it for free...

Yeah I did this. I am not worried about it at all. Never made enough to get taxed on any of it so it is the employer breaking the law.

Ya, but you're not paying social security.

OP: I would think long and hard out this, because I bet schools can quickly check to see if you were actually employed where you say were employed.

No one is going to give a shit or even think its under the table. Getting paid cash is the way to go, its not a like law school is going to call you up for a 1040 form

I had a job that was literally performed under a table and I'm going to list it.

not judging; just surprised you'd list it. as we all know, law schools prefer documentation of this via video footage

How do you know that. People could be paying whatever.
