The WF will probably count as an F on you Law School admissions GPA. One F won't hurt your GPA too badly. Don't take the physics classes unless you are confident you will get A's (there is no way to be confident about that, QM is hard, I know first hand). Don't double major they won't care. They most likely don't even look at your transcript

Get your GPA as high as possible and do as well as you can on your LSAT. Thats basically all that matters.

Which GPA will they look at? My total GPA or my UGA GPA?

They will ask for both transcripts. Then they will take every class you took before you got your bachelors degree (or if you are applying as a senor every class you took period) and add them all up. So it will basically be your total GPA. It might be slightly different because they count A+'s as 4.33.

There is nothing to be done now except get good grades from now on. 3 hours out of 90 isn't that big a deal. You lsat is much more important.

So my question is, do law schools look at my overall GPA or my GPA from my 4 year I transferred to? Do you think they would sweep one WF under the rug and look at what my GPA would be without it?

No, they'll look at your overall GPA including all classes and the WF.

I am taking the LSAT in the fall or spring, and I am going to prepare for it by taking the class and getting a book as well. I usually do good on tests like this so if I get a 165 or better can I get into a T14?

Assuming that you apply with around a 3.5 to 3.6, you're going to need a 168+ LSAT score for the T14's, since your GPA would be below the median at all of them.

My father is also Lebanese if that helps at all as far as possible being an URM.

Nope, no URM boost there.

I am a Political Science major and am considering changing to a dual major of Statistics and Political Science or Economics and Political Science if that might help my chances. I no longer work full time, so getting good grades is way easier than it used to be in community college.

I also have a high interest in quantum mechanics as of late and am even considering taking a high load of physics as well if that will give me added edge.

Double majors and taking hard classes like quantum mechanics don't help. At this point, your priorities are getting a high GPA and studying for the LSAT.

YOU BASTARD! You stole my idea! I wasn't going to say "haha" but I was going to say something like, "and so it was true" or something like that.

That reminds Jackie of a kid from his high school SAT team who said, "They asked me to join the team because of my high SAT score"; the kid's SAT score was actually relatively low. Who brags about a 1350? Also, who brags about a 1560? A douche. And Jackie.

Biatch!

I am truly sorry! In all honesty, I would have rather read a witty comment rather than my basic "haha"

Exceptionally smart people don't need to worry about crap like this, so just take it easy and wait for the acceptances to roll in.

Haha, yeah, but that would have required me to actually post something witty! I'm happy to just talk a big game after my "opportunity" was taken.

They count A+'s as 4.33 even if your school doesn't have A+'s? If so my GPA would be a lot higher since I have 4 A's of 97 or better.

That's funny, because just this year I became a child prodigy.

Today I wondered if the guy who made Hershey "nuggets" cracked up when he came up with it.

On a serious note, I'm assuming you're doing political science because you want to go into politics eventually? If not, and you're doing it because it seems to dovetail quite nicely with law, then don't do it. Most adcomms I've spoken to or heard speak about specific majors consider political science to be a "soft" major. They would rather see you do something you enjoy and do well at it. If my assumption is wrong, then just do well.

How about, "If you're so exceptionally smart why don't you figure it out yourself?"

I have always been semi-smart, somewhere between riding the short bus and joining mensa.

Since he's looking at a 3.4, that's almost splitter territory, so I would say more like 170+

This might be an even more hilarious line from the OP.
