Has anyone else lost the ability to log into NYU's Financial Aid Website within the last 24 hours?

For me, at least, my application went into "final review" last week; and now my username doesn't even get me into the site. Is this happening to anyone else? Perhaps they are updating their site in order to make offers.

I was able to log in just now.

the date by the "Final Stage of Review" has been updated to today's date. perhaps they made a decision?

anyone catch how they notify you with financial aid packages anyways? is it email, snail mail?

The website says they will send an email to both the primary and alternate email listed in the finaid application.

so are you guys finding out about merit aid through this? has any been given out? mine says final review too

I'm not sure if it's actually merit aid but it does say "scholarship" and is free money. But some schools call grants "scholarships" so that they look fancier.

Just received an email saying my award was available on the website. Submitted the institutional application on the 24th of February and FAFSA around the 1st.

Good question...I'm not basing this off of anything, but I would think they'd give you a preliminary offer before your RTK interview. Then if you don't get the RTK, that offer is in place.

Of course, I could be completely wrong. Is your interview this week? ((jealous))

yes, this saturday, ahhhh! already preparing to not get it so hoping some scholarship money will be left over!

Can you tell if that's actually merit based or just a grant by another name? My financial situation and numbers make it so that I can't tell.

I believe it's different; there is a separate letter and I must accept it by April 14th.

Congrats! when did you fill out your financial form. I'm trying to see if their attacking this chronologically or if i'm just screwed by not having gotten an email by now...
